Par Avion Makes its Fashion Industry Debut with Business Journals, Inc.

Los Angeles, CA, December 18, 2009 – Beginning in 2010, Par Avion will head down the runway with fashion retail market leader Business Journals, Inc. ( They are slated to handle the convention housing programs for all seven of BJI’s events in the fashion capital of the United States, New York City.

Business Journals, Inc. is a fourth-generation, family-owned and managed business media company is responsible for a portfolio of highly successful events for retail buyers, including Accessories TheShow, FAME, Moda and MRket. Despite closures of many retail outlets across the nation, these shows continue to gain prominence and actually increased their attendance in 2009.

BJI trade events vary significantly in focus and attract specialty buyers from around the world. Accessories TheShow ( is the only juried, all-accessory event in the United States. FAME ( showcases junior and young contemporary clothes and footwear. According to Par Avion’s President & CEO Toby Brenner, they have already instituted a plan to increase the percentage of exhibitors and attendees who book their hotel and travel through the event. “We love a challenge and are committed to handling the housing arrangements for an unprecedented number of BJI convention-goers,” said Brenner.
